A Driver Qualification (DQ) file is the §391.51 packet every motor carrier must keep on every commercial driver. It contains the employment application, road test, MVR review, drug & alcohol consent, prior-employer verification, and annual review (the driver-certification of violations under former §391.27 is optional since 2022).
